Char Cloth

If you haven't ever tried starting a fire without a match or starter, you can't imagine how handy charcloth can be to get a fire going! I made this charcloth by placing some fabric into this metal, almost air-tight container and placing it into a fire over night. If you catch a spark onto char cloth you can start a fire very quickly. I have used a piece of glass and started a fire on a tinder bundle in about 30 seconds with a small piece of char cloth on it. Super handy and there are many ways you can use it.
